    Hello,
I tried to copy my site and i did something wrong. Now my STAGING site, when you go to it, says its not at that address. I really need help, can this be reversed? The last action that in did was the search and replace, where it searched for my staging and put it to my live one.

    Thanks please help!

    Hello Court,

I am not sure what you did or how you did it. Can you explain that more?

If you changed your staging site by using a separate search & replace plugin, of course, you can revert the changes by simple reverting the search & replace strings.

If you explainwhat you did exactly I may be able to help you better.

    Hi Rene,
Here is what I did. I followed the directions up until step 3.1. step3.1 I looked for my file ending with WPSTG2 and I followed the above steps. Now when I go back into WordPress to my staging site, and click on the link, it says “Oops it looks like nothing was found at this location please check the address and try again.

This thing will not let me send attachments, or I would send you a private screnshot. Please let me know if you nee more information. I really need my site back, I dont know what I did.

The picture gets clearer. This could be intended because you told the system to use your staging site as live one. Now you just need to create a new staging site.

Anyways, when I open the link above I get the staging site login screen. You say you do get the message “Oops it looks like nothing was found at this location please check the address and try again.”

So this does not make much sense for me when I try to understand your error description.

Could be a caaching issue. So disable all caching plugins to see if that solves the issue.

If this still not works I recommend to either revert your modification by following the steps in revert order or to simply reload a backup of your site which you hopefully did. Creating a backup is part of the tutorial. So did you create it?
