Howdy. First off, love the plugin. I’ve used it with a couple of clients and it delivers.

I’m working on a site that is currently in a staging environment (IE staging.mysite.com). I have a ton of pages from the old site that need redirects created.

WordPress does a good job of rewriting URLs on internal links when a site is pushed live (changing staging.mysite.com to mysite.com).

My question: if I set up these redirects while in a staging environment, will they rewrite to the final URL once the site goes live?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

Unless Redirect To is set to a custom URL on your staging website so that it’s saved as staging.mysite.com, it should be fine as otherwise redirects use the siteURL and page/post IDs.

    Hi Alexandru,

Great news and certainly puts my mind at ease. Thanks so much!
