“standard keyboard commands not working”

  • i’m trying to edit my wordpress site from a different computer (macbook air) and i’m finding that none of the standard keyboard commands are working at all despite trying to change keyboard/trackpad settings on the mac. the keyboard/trackpad works fine in other chrome tabs and apps.

    the most glaring problem is that hitting ‘return’ does not create a new paragraph block like it does for me from any other computer. hitting ‘shift / return’ creates a new line in the block, however.

    clicking any buttons on the top row of the editor gives me no response either. i can’t add a new block, click on the grid icon for menu options, etc. the only responsive button is “switch to draft” on the top right of the screen.

    any help appreciated!

    Right click anywhere on the page and choose Inspect. In the bar that opens, click the Console option in the top row. This will display any errors that may be found. If it’s not obvious what the issue is, past the errors in here and someone can help debug.
