• Anyone know of a standards compliant e-commerce package dedicated to e-commerce only… not a CMS.

Kind of like a wordpress for e-commerce?

  • Have you checked to see if ZenCart will work? I’ve been looking at it, but I’m not sure about standards compliance.

I have looked at it, and thanks for suggesting it, but it is not standards compliant… and I am somewhat hardcore on standards compliance these days. Thanks anyways.

This thread says it is (compliant)…

I was under the impression that it was able to be validated, but that it wasn’t necessarily standards compliant with xhtml/css.

That is a good thread though and I’ll start looking through the options there. I’ll also try the zen forums.

Though if anyone knows of compliant cart, don’t hessitate to add.

Zen cart is soooo sloooooooooooooowwwww… expect ~500 queries or more for just about _any_ page. It’s sick. And to make things worse, when you query the devs to know whether you did something wrong during the setup, you get a familiar-sounding “it’s normal, it’s a feature” type answer that a Windows95 user could have given you while explaining you needed to reboot your computer every hour.
