On a test page I placed a button that opens a popup with the testimonial form, and I also placed the form directly on the page. The form on the page works fine.

The form in the popup automatically closes as soon as one of the stars is selected. When I tried using the Popup Maker plugin instead of Elementor’s popup widget, the stars weren’t clickable and I got an error message saying I had to choose a star.

I disabled the honeypot setting as another user suggested, although her issue wasn’t quite the same as mine – but it didn’t help. Is there another setting that I should change?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @wetcatbooks,

Thank you for letting us know about this!
This might happen because you also have the form on that page and on the pop-up.
Please remove the form from the page and leave it only in the pop-up.
And let me know how it goes.

    All the best,
    Mihaela

    Hi Mihaela.

I removed the form from the page but left the popup. The stars on the popup still close the popup, so the form can’t be submitted. I tried it on both Firefox and Chrome.

    Hello @wetcatbooks,

We were not able to replicate the same issue on our end, however we have opened a ticket on GitHub so we can investigate further and address it in our next update. It should be released in a few days.

Thank you for being so patient.

    Best regards,
    Mihaela

    Hello @wetcatbooks,

We are still trying to replicate this on our end.
Could you please give us a hand by sending us a screenshot with your Strong Testimonials and one with your Elementor pop-up settings?

    Thank you,
    Mihaela

Hi. I have tried it on four different browsers, and clicking on the stars always closes the popup. My daughter tried it from a different IP address, and the same thing happened. I’m not sure which settings you wanted for the screenshots. I attached the Elementor settings for the popup – all of the settings on the other screens are set at default. and I sent the settings for the “rating” section of the form. Let me know if you need anything else.
