Star-Ratings on 2.5

Just fiddling with the Star Ratings plug-in, and I get this error message:

“Please make sure database writing has been enabled via plugin options and have at least one blog entry having its custom field properly set. See documentation for further info.”

It isn’t tested/doesn’t work with 2.5, but what is the “make sure database writing has been enabled” refer to? Is that something I need to have set-up…
