Star Voting/Rating Not Showing

Oh and yes I’ve added the image tag to /nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_gallery/templates/thumbnails

It’s not even showing in the source.

It looks like you’re using the caption template. If you read the FAQ, you will see you the template you edited is for the basic thumbnail view only. The FAQ links to this page, that shows which templates to edit for different display settings.

I think it’s the:

/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery-caption.php

template you need to add the tag to for your settings.

Ok that’s solved. The only thing left now is that the loader icon keeps spinning after voting. Know how to fix that?

I voted on all your pics, so I can’t keep testing (only 1 vote allowed setting being used I assume).

But it works on my test installs, so I guess its a plugin or theme setting on your site conflicting. If you allow more than 1 vote per person, I can try test and see if I notice something obvious.

So I am a total beginner and not great at coding. I went to source code and first could not find the template to add tag and couldn’t even edit on the window I was on. Totally lost. I have inserted a gallery into my page, but I can’t see the star rating feature. I have enabled each of the images to take the star rating. Please help. Thank you.

Maybe if you could explain also where on wordpress I can edit the code. Thank you.

You need to add a small snippet of code to a file in the NextGEN Gallery plugin. Please read the FAQ, it explains what to do. If you still are having trouble, then you can start your own thread and I will try help out.
