Stars are gone and don’s seem to save

  • I just realised that on my whole wehstie all the ratings stars are gone. If i go back to a post with the rating It tells me thtat there are no star ratings given although I have done so in the past.

    When I give in a new star rating it will look like I saved it but it doesn’t show them on the frontend and if I go back to the post in the backend the given star ratings in the multiset are all gone again. What is happening? What am I doing wrong? Could it be because of lazy loading images?

    Hi!

    Sorry for this; what version are you using? 2.0.9?
    If so, will it work if you switch to version 2.0.8?

    It should work with lazy load, but yes, try also to disable that and let me know.

    I’m indeed using 2.0.9, Im affraid it happend with the recent update but can’t reconstruct when it took place. If I turn off lazy load that doesn’t make a difference.

    Same here. Not funny. ?? And a roll back to 2.0.8. wasn’t helpfull. Some posts have now no star rating, some have. Very strange. Alle caches are flushed.
    Lucky me, i’ve updatet only the staging site, so i have an comparission to the live site.
    Please fix the problem.

    It’s pretty strange that if still not work if you rolled back to version 2.0.8.
    Do you have a link to the staging site?
    Do you have this problem with version 2.1.0 too?

    When I rollback to 2.08 it does work again and stars appear again. With the 2.10 version installed the problem continues to exist.

    I’m sorry I tried to update to the 2.1.3 version but it did not fix the problem. I rolled it back again. I will send you an e-mail with temporary admin access later today.

    @tjerk79 Don’t. If @dudo accepted that access then they would risk getting banned and having their plugin removed from the repo here. It’s that serious and I hope the author reads this carefully.

    Had the author made that ask, this would be the reply.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    @dudo I’m still having this problem. the 2.0.8 works fine but when I update to the 2.1.3 or anything higher than 2.0.8 the stars will disappear again.

    As you can see, the rating data is there indeed (with other version was 0), but stars doesn’t get printed for some reasons; can you please try to delete all your caches, or disable plugins 1 by 1 and let me know?
