My issue is similar to “Start Chat” on front end does not work.

Except, it only happens for repeat chats. The first time a user chats, it works fine. But, the next time a visitor wants to chat, when they click on the “start chat” button, the chat window stays the same, and doesn’t change. The admin gets a notification and can start and accept the chat. But, the dialog box for the user doesn’t change and show the chat messages.

Interestingly enough, if the user clicks the “X” to close the chat, and then clicks the chat icon again, the chat window opens up and they can chat normally.

But, somehow, that transition doesn’t happen after the user clicks “start chat”.

I disabled all other plugins and installed the twentyseventeen theme, and it didn’t fix the problem.

I don’t see any console errors.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch. I am currently debugging this issue on my side as it has been reported previously by some of our other users.

I am eager to get this resolved, and would like to ask that you open a support ticket with us here: https://wp-livechat.com/contact-us/ – As this will allow me to dig a bit deeper and identify the cause of the error.

We will then release an update to permanently resolve this issue.

    I hope this is acceptable?
