I would like to use the lightbox to embed a Vimeo video – but starting part of the way into the video. I know that Vimeo allows this by adding “#t=…” at the end of the url, but when I apply that to the Vimeo id in the lightbox shortcode, it has no effect. Is there any workaround which will enable the lightbox to start playing the Vimeo video part of the way through?

    Hi,

but starting part of the way into the video.

Unfortunately our plugin at present does that have the option available.

    Thank you

Many thanks for responding. I have a second question about the plugin, but I will start a new ticket because it is on a different point.

Although this ticket was marked as closed with the conclusion that the app doesn’t have that option, I have in fact found a way to deliver it using the app.

The first step is to get the link for *embedding* the YouTube video, one can mark it with a start time and/or end time, in the following format: “https://www.youtube.com/embed/YouTubeID?start=x&end=y”.

The second step is to merge that in with the rel attribute “wp-video-lightbox”, as described for plug-in Instructions for an iFrame.

    < a href=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/YouTubeID?start=x&end=y?iframe=true ” rel=”wp-video-lightbox[iframes]> < /a >
    < a title=”Title” href=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/YouTubeID ” > Insert linked text here < /a >

Thank you for sharing your solution. I am sure this will help many in the future ??

I will also make a note of this for future reference.

    Kind regards
