Starter Templates vs Astra Sites

    Hello and good day.

    What is the difference between Starter Templates and Astra Sites?

    I also see there is an option in wordpress admin settings to “Enable Brizy Page Builder Templates in Starter Templates”.

    What does that mean as well?

    It doesn’t really state what the difference is.

    However, I am assuming Astra is the premium product.

    Sorry if the doc doesn’t help. Let me try to explain.

    Astra is a WordPress theme and it is free. This article will help you to understand what WordPress theme is.

    The Starter Templates plugin is a WordPress plugin. To know more about what a plugin is, this article should help.

    Now, Starter Template (without plugin) is a site with preinstalled plugins, pages, and theme settings. This meant to be to help users create a site in an easier and faster way. Users don’t need to build anything from scratch. What they can do is just import a Starter Template and replace the contents, i.e. text, images, videos, etc with their own. All the Starter Templates available in our Library were initially designed with the Astra theme.

    Although it is possible to use another theme besides Astra and import a Starter Template, more on that is on this doc, since all the Starter Templates were designed with the Astra theme, we recommend using Astra as the active theme on your site if you would like to import a Starter Template on your site.

    In order to import a Starter Template to your site, you will need the Starter Templates plugin.
