Starting a project and need some guidance

A contractor friend of mine came to me needing his website updated. He would like it so that he can log in, click on a client, and upload files to their account for them to be able to log in and download. Each client would have their own private set of files.

Would any of you be able to suggest a plugin that would work for this?
