Starting Fresh

  • My website is hacked big time. I know nothing about going through the coding and such. I’ve got all my content saved in text documents and such so I’m not worried about loosing everything.

    At this point, I just want to delete my accound and start from scratch on WordPress if that is possible. Can someone tell me how to do that. My site is hosted on Go Daddy and its linked to my current www.ads-software.com account… how can I wipe all of this out and start from scratch on my computer (i.e.. delete and set up a new wordpress)

  • You need to FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete all wordpress files & folders. Then you need to destroy your database via your hosts’ account management panel.

    Thanks. I’ll look into that. And contact Go Daddy. Then what? Sign up for a new wordpress count under a different user name?

    You should be able to re-install WordPress on your site without any problems. Your www.ads-software.com account simply gives you access to these forums and is not related – in any way – to any of your self-hosted WordPress sites.
