Starting Page says “empty template front page”

  • Dear All,

    I was doing the fine tuning for the Website of the eye doctor and now what has happened?

    For some reason that I cannot identify … it says now “empty template” on the frontpage.

    But when I go to “edit page” I see that everything is still there.

    Then I managed the following: https://development.augenarzt-landstrasse.at/index/ When I write it like this the whole site is here.

    What has happened and how can I solve that?

    Please kindly help me.

  • Hi Angi @hellblauervogel ,

    It’s possible the Template set for the front page does not have the contents like you see in the page you’re editing.

    To fix that:

    • Go to Pages and open the page where you see the contents that you want for the front page.
    • Copy all the contents of the page.
    • Go to Appearance > Editor > Templates.
    • Select the template used for the front page and paste the contents you just copied from the page, and “Save”.
    • Then check the front page of the site again to see if the contents appear in the front page.

    I am having the same problem.

    This was the situation before I tried the fix you suggested, @kel-dc

    I could see the content in the “edit page” window, but only a blank page when I clicked “view page.”

    I worked on this page repeatedly, editing and viewing it (and viewing it on my phone). Yesterday it was working; today it is not. I have saved screenshots.

    After trying the fix, I now see some of the content repeated at the bottom of the page (but not in the correct format). The repeated content does not appear in the “edit page.”
