    The Duplicator starts creating an archive but then gets stuck indefinitely at ‘Creating Archive 0%’ without displaying any errors. The spinning wheel continues but nothing happens. There is also no output in the log, regardless of whether using mysqldump or PHP code, ZipArchive or DupArchive. There is sufficient memory available, and it has access to all the data.

    the new Version of WordPress could be the problem?
    I tried another backup plugin and got stuck, too.
    All worked fine before updating wordpress.

    Or is it in the EU-context?

    It seems to be a Problem with PHP 8.x

    PHP 7.4.33 and Duplicator 1.5.8.1 works fine

    @wpingo Well, then it’s good that PHP 7.4 is already in extra-paid extended support on hoster side – if there is still any support for it. As we only use supported versions of PHP (https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php), we only have 8.1 & 8.2 latest and Duplicator ran on those. If you’re right that would be a bug introduced with 1.5.8.1 then.

    @aipe As I wrote on page one, our WP 6.4.3 versions had/have the same issue. Didn’t test 6.4.4 yet because we backup before update – which doesn’t work when Duplicator doesn’t ??

    Phew, so I’m not the only one with this problem. I have the problem on practically all pages on different servers.

    This seemed to be a Problem with the German translation.

    Someone translated two %% into %(space)%.

    So it should work again… ??

    @juergen74 and a (German) translation can KILL an entire plugin?
    That’s hard…

    Yes, seems like it. One Fatal PHP Error and your gone… ??
    Best Practice would be, to take these critical elements out of the translation string…

    One single empty space KILLS a whole plugin. Wow, that mustn’t be.
    But hey, when it was only the German version, why do we all write in English here???

    Jetzt geht es tats?chlich wieder.
    Wo wurde den jetzt das Problem behoben? Hab kein Update gesehen oder wird da eine externe Stelle abgefragt und behoben?

    Vielleicht weil die Autoren kein Deutsch k?nnen xD
    Ist mir aber ?fters schon passiert unwissentlich nur mit deutschen geschrieben zu haben.

    Ich hab’s s mir schon fast gedacht, aber nix sagen traun :/
    Es waren ja haupts?chlich Deutsche, die sich beschwert haben.
    Jedenfalls danke an Jürgen Müller! Tja, das kann immer passieren.
    Hauptsache, es l?uft wieder ?? :)))

    Gleiches Problem mit deutscher Version, funktioniert aber immer noch nicht. Soll man auf ein Update warten?
