‘State/County’ optional for UAE and UK

    For some strange reason the ‘State/County’ field at checkout becomes optional if you choose the United Arab Emirates or United Kingdom as your billing/ship-to address. I need the ‘State/County’ field to be required like it is for all other countries. Can anyone help me fix this?

    The documentation here covers how to customize checkout fields using actions and filters – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/tutorial-customising-checkout-fields-using-actions-and-filters/.

    There’s an example here that shows how to go about making the phone number field optional -https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/tutorial-customising-checkout-fields-using-actions-and-filters/#section-8.

    You’ll want to put in a check for the countries you’ve mentions and then do the inverse of what is happening in that code with the “State/Country” field.
