static content above blog on front page?

  • Hi Folks,

    All the themes I’ve seen seem to give a choice between a static front page, or a blog front page – with additional content in sidebars and the footer.

    I’d really like to have about an inch of static text, right above rotating blog posts. Can anybody point me at a theme that supports that, or suggest a way to accomplish that?
