Static Front page not showing Home page selected

  • I am trying to create a static home page. one that I have created as I do not wish to use the Themes home page.
    in Customise i choose Static Page – then click the page i want “About”. I have already tried disabling all the features under “front Page” like Banner, blog, and search.

    Now my home page is just a blank page with the header.
