Static Front Page Problem

  • Hello,

    I’m trying to set up a static front page on this site my problem seems to do with the templates. If I try to use a custom page template for my home page then the blog page seems to also use it, even if I set “blog” to default template. Since I don’t want my front page to have the title “home” and “edit this page” on it. How do I use two different templates? My theme doesn’t include a home.php file.

    Are you sure your template doesn’t have a index.php file?

    I’m 90% sure is there ??

    You can easy put whatever you want in the index.php it will show in the Home page of your site.

    Oh, yes I do. I just read somewhere else about a home.php and thought it was different. Still, I’m confused about why the two pages are using the same template.
