• Hey,

What I would like to do is have a post that stays at the top of every page.

At the minute, when you go to my blog you see the two most recent posts, I would like for a static post to stay at the top with the two recent posts below it.

It would also be on each individual post page.

    How can I do this?

My blog is on my root domain if that makes a difference.

    Thanks

  • Could use something like gamerz’ WP-Sticky plugin:

Or you would need to use examples from The_Loop and Template_Tags/query_posts

    Hey,

Thanks for the links, they’ll come in handy ??

I actually thought that with the latest wordpress version I could do this without using plugins, I thought the static front page could somehow do it, I had a look but it looked as though it would only display the static post and visitors would have to clickthrough to see the blog posts.

    Is that right?

Moshu has posted a vivid tutorial for adding dynamic content from your blog posts on to your static front page. It is very easy to do.

    You can find it here.
