• Hey guys,
Got weird issue. When I upgraded to 2.3.1 my Static Home Page works but it adds an extra Page link on the top navbar. It supposed to use Home as a link but it treats it now as normal page. Check it put https://www.viktorix.com

The third option is unwanted link “Welcome to Viktorix”, thats the title for the static page, how can I remove it?
    Anyone else has that problem?

  • I don’t think it’s a new thing. You have a hard coded Home link and you have a Page (Welcome…) assigned as homepage or something like that. Check your code.

Yes, but Static Home Page plugin supposed to hide link from navigation bar and use Home link instead. That’s what it did until I upgraded to new WP version.

You never mentioned any plugin till now. Why do you need that since the feature is built-in?

Didn’t know about the feature. Ok, now I’m using built-in static home page. BUT I still get the same problem, I get an extra link from that extra page, which should be Home page.

How do I eliminate “Welcome to Viktorix” link in the top navbar?

    Take a look:

I tried using “exclude” command to eliminate that link, but all it did was mess up the order and display sub-pages too.
Also, static page ID is 5, but it doesn’t have a link for it uses Home as default link. How do I eliminate that annoying Welcome to Viktorix link and keep Home?
    I need help guys.
