static home page vs newest posts

  • It should be so, yes. But it isnt.. If you want to have a blog going, make a page and choose a blog template in the dropdown , there is actually 2 available, blog and blog with large images. You cannot assign the posts to any site and decide it is your posts page in this template.

    Ok, thanks, but if I choose “newest posts”, what kind of template (php file in root directory) is used for the main home page? I added a dummy paragraph in almost all php files and I cannot see any changes… ??
    I mean there must be on template putting all the sections together?

    I wanted to change the background picture for a webm video
