Static homepage does not show despite settings

  • Hi,

    Despite setting a static page as my home page, when persons visit my site they get a random sample page not even associated with my theme.

    This is what my webpage should look like Desired home page.

    This is what persons see instead This is what is showing.

    I think my settings are correct Homepage setting.

    everyother page shows like how it should when linked directly but the homepage is just this random sample page. I’ve tried different themes but its the same, the other pages show correctly but its the same random sample page for the website. I’ve tried clearing cache but maybe im not doing that right.

    *wondering if there maybe an issue with lightspeed cache plugin still showing older information? https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/litespeed-cache/

    *which theme is active for your site? I see what looks like twenty twenty two theme for front page and a different theme for other page(s)

    *can you deactivate all plugins to rule out a conflict?

    Hi there,

    To add on to what lisa mentioned, you could also try adding a cache variable to see if it really is a cache not clearing correctly. So you could do something like example.com/?ver=newer to see if that shows the new version as well.

    If you are using a CDN like Cloudflare you may need to clear that too. I’ve seen instances like that where the 3rd party CDN needs to be cleared.

    Hi Again,

    Thank you for your assistance. I believe it was a faulty install as after several cache clearings and disabling all plugins I still had the issue. I tried starting from scratch with the same installation and notice the home page did not change no matter the theme used. So after a fresh wordpress install it seems to be working as it should.
