Static page – Posts page

As always, great theme.

I thought I had solved the image problem I had with double images by making a new page template and filtering the_content etc and I saved it properly so it showed up as a template.

I went to reading and selected static page and put in the new template for the front page and the new template for latest posts and the front page works fine but the posts page seems to be not pulling from the new template but the same old standard double images posts that I have been trying for almost a week to get rid of.

What page is it pulling instead?

static page is https://bbsnews.net and the posts page is https://bbsnews.net/latest-posts/ and yes, I did specify the new template in the page I created for latest posts although it seems to be going to the default template. Which file in your theme is the default template?
