• I have been using page to front. But instead of a whole static page. I would like just a short static top section that could be a better menu and some text about the site then the blog directly beneath it.

Is there a plugin or template that can achieve this?

    Thanks.

  • Just modify the template file directly. Normally you’d just add the content to index.php, but I’m not sure of your page setup and where you want the static content to appear.

Thanks alpaoide, I want the static content to appear at the top underneath the banner where the site name is, and where you click to go back to the home page or start screen or whatever its called on a blog. I want the ability to change the text in the same way I can in a static page.
This would be a div of about 250px in height that is as wide at the regualar text area.
