    Hello,
I have created dynamic and static web pages previously but not in WordPress where I am a newbie.
Previously I understood that a dynamic page collected data from fields in a database e.g. phpmyadmin and a static page (.html) did not require any database as the information is built into the code.

After looking at a few of my Word Press practice efforts it does seem that what appears to be a static site in fact needs a phpmyadmin database.

Am I on the right track with my thoughts?
    Many thanks for your help
    Regards
    John
