hello, this cdn is awesome! but it is not possible to mask the cdn url with cname. I want to use cdn.website.com. please help. Creating cname over cloudflare is not allowed. Because it is forbidden to use “/” sign in cname. I cannot use the cdn subdomain because it is statically subfolder. The only character allowed on cname is the square “-“. Is there a way to overcome this? or will there be any support in the future? Like everyone else, I manage my DNS address via clouflare. (proxy is off) but it is not possible to mask cname because it has a “/” sign in the statically url! (I’m using google translate. Sorry)

    Hi @mfa95,

You cannot mask our CDN unless you have a custom domain setup from us. To get it, please contact us through the contact page.

    Cheers,
    Frans

Custom domain is $25/month per their website. Way too expensive IMHO

If you opt to use Statically CDN without custom domain, it might kill your SEO. Maybe not worth it after all. No free lunch there

    Hi @vuster,

    Thanks for your message.

The best way for us to provide CDN and optimization for static files (images, CSS, JS, SVG, XML, PDF, and more in the future) is to provide a reasonable price. You will get unlimited traffic and optimization. You will get premium CDN and the ease of distributing assets globally. If you have a better suggestion for providing a more economical price, please reach us via the contact page, we will be happy to discuss ??

The CDN won’t kill SEO. We have taken steps to get the content that you serve with our CDN to be known by Google that it’s yours. As an example we utilize the Link HTTP Header, there is a blog post about this practice here https://moz.com/blog/how-to-advanced-relcanonical-http-headers

    Cheers,
    Frans

That’s good to know re canonical headers. Thank you.

It just seems a little unfair to me that a high traffic site would pay the same as a low – medium traffic site. But I like your simple pricing. Maybe there’s a happy medium somehow.

As for the price, Cloudflare charges $20 for the Pro plan which basically does what you do AND includes WAF. Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks!
