I have a weird phenomenon with Statify. I am using the plugin on nearly 40 websites which I also manage through MainWP. MainWP sends a curl call to all connected sites every three hours to check whether they are up.

About a third of these websites count these checks as visits from my domain as referrer, two thirds don’t. I have no idea why. There doesn’t seem to be any common denominator for one group which the other group doesn’t have. I actually have two separate websites within the same hosting contract with about the same amount of visits each, one of which counts an average of 7 visits from my domain per day, the other none.

What could be the reason for that?

    Hi @bitpicker,

do you have JavaScript tracking enabled on the site not counting the requests as visits?

If MainWP just fetches the HTML and JavaScript tracking is enabled, the view cannot be counted. With default tracking the request may be counted depending on the sent user agent (we try to ignore bots).

    See the documentation for details.

    Kind regards
    Patrick
