Statistics seem inaccurate

    Hello,

    Our Adrotate statistics seem to be accurate with our sidebar advertisement displayed within our posts, but our banners displayed above our posts are getting incredibly high impressions, and I honestly do not believe they are accurate (some are reaching 600,000 impressions but we only have around 2700 people visit our website and visit ~2 pages at max per day). The only difference between the ones we are having issues with and the ones we are not is the “in news ads” selection on the bottom. Is something acting up with this adrotate feature? If not, then can someone explain to me how we are receiving 600,000 impressions in a matter of one week. I believe it is what displays our ads on our posts, so I would like to keep it active but not make our statistics inaccurate.

    That doesn’t look right indeed.
    Make sure your bot filter is up-to-date. You can see it in Settings > General.
    To get the latest list of keywords just clear the field and save the options.

    If you have types of bots flooding your site (those won’t show up in normal visitor stats) you may want to investigate that a bit further and add keywords to the filter to get more accurate stats.

    Hey Arnan,

    I updated our bots on the website and am still seeing an unusual amount of traffic with our in-news ads. Is there any other advice you could give to resolve the issue?
