This is for a blog site with subscribers.

First we copied the site to the new web host, and that action alone seemed to mess up Jetpack’s connectivity for the signed in account at the live site. Because on the live site Jetpack was placed into Safe Mode. Tried logging back in on the live site only to find zero subscribers. So, pushed our migration date up sooner and completed the site move to the new host. We’re signed into Jetpack but still have zero subscribers. Should be hundreds.

I think I read somewhere that Jetpack associates stats and subscribers with a website ID? I have no idea how to fix that and suspect it has to be done by Jetpack team.

    TIA for your help.

    Hi @krackmedia

I’ve moved over the stats and subscribers from the old site to the new one. Can you take a look and see if all looks correct?

    Hi @bruceallen
Thanks for this. We now see 205 subscribers. Site owner is very positive it should be 572. He posts every week and watches this number like a hawk. So he is quite sure about it. Is there something else you/I can look at to find those missing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

You’ll need to reconnect the Publicize accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) as your followers on these platforms count towards your subscriber total, since each of your posts is sent out to them via Publicize.

Once those accounts are connected, you’ll see the subscriber number in the front page Subscribe box jump up to the level you were expecting.

I’m on a screenshare with the site owner, logged into his site under his admin account and have connected Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. But still the subscriber count is at 205. Is there some refresh we need to kick?

I think we are good now. The total subscriber number finally jumped up.

    Thanks!
