    Hi support team,

My plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/crm/stats/) is showing a 2.6 version that I don’t have or include in any of the following (I just released 2.0 recently):
    – crm.php
    – Readme.txt
    – Any other file of my code

I’m not sure where that would be coming from. I’m concerned I’m getting someone else’s stats here, which is weird.

Can you please check it on your side and let me know what you find?

    It’s showing 2.0 right now.

Were you able to resolve the issue?

Actually, it’s not resolved at all.

Look carefully at the release versions stacked bar graph on that page.

You’ll see like 85% version 1.0 (big blue bar).
About 13% version 2.0…(smaller red bar)

    AND, 1.6% version 2.6 (tiny yellow/orange bar)

I have no idea where that’s coming from.

Oh, now I see it. That’s really weird. I’m going to ask someone who’s more in tune with how the Plugins directory works.

    You won’t like the answer…

That comes from people who have another plugin with the same folder name (perhaps a pay-for one) that uses that version number. Basically, if I change my personal version of Hello Dolly to 2.0, it would start showing up on the stats page too :/

Why do I think you won’t like it? We can’t fix it.

    Thanks, Mika!

OK then…thanks for at least shedding light on the mystery.
