    Hi

Can anyone recommend a stats plugin that will give me an ongoing aggregate of views/hits for each individual page? I’m not after an old-school hit counter, as I’m not interested in displaying hits to the user. I just want to be able to access this info via dashboard.

Because stats plugins tend (understandably) to be geared towards visitor analysis across the whole site, whereas I need this specific info about page views/hits, I’m not having much luck browsing the plugins or researching “best stats plugins”, etc.

Any suggestions? (N.B. currently using an old version of WP. Will update if I have to.)

    Thanks in advance.

    rob

Install Jetpack and enable WordPress Stats. I think it’s what you want in one easy (and free) package.

Thanks. If Jetpack provides individual page hit statistics, it’s not a feature they promote on the “features” page.

Your suggestion prompted me to look at WP Statistics, though, and it looks like they introduced that feature at some point. I’m just a bit worried that it might be a bit … heavy? I don’t necessarily need all the other site analysis features.

aargh. WP Statistics is no good. Requires PHP 5.3 and I’m running 5.2.something.

Updating PHP is something that’s way beyond my limited skills…

Found one called “post hit counter”. It’s very basic but gives me the info I want.

PHP 5.2 is years out of date. Contact your host and ask why you’re not on PHP 5.6

    Here’s another to try

    Hi there,

thank you for mentioning our plugin. Slimstat is indeed compatible with PHP 5.2. It’s true that PHP 5.2 it’s years out of date, however we have plenty of customers who still use that version of the language because that’s what their service provider offers. Robluvsnic, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

    Best,
    Jason
