    Hello,

Much appreciate any help in advance

I would like to know (I have been searching but I haven’t found much info on this…for some reason – no one else likes stats like this?) if it is possible to STOP adblockers from blocking the ‘stats.wp’ jetpack analytic (using the logging feature on UBlock shows stats.wp is blocked automatically).

The analytic features to show the amount of visitors and page views are awesome to see and understand (which products/pages are more popular, where viewers are going the most, etc.). But recently I’ve come to the conclusion that almost 75% of visitors are not showing up in the analytic stats. I’ve come to learn it is because they use an AdBlocker.

I don’t hate on AdBlockers at all, I use one myself. My site does not have any ads at all but to ask users to ‘turn off their ad-blocker’ is an excessive burden. I would much rather simply find a way to have the ‘stats.wp’ analytic not be blocked, if at all possible? I’ve read from the little bit on it that over time as the site gets more popular it would get added to the adblocker’s filter lists (the 5+ there are)? So at that rate I would have to go with incomplete stats until then? That’s not good ??

I hope maybe someone has a trick to stop it FROM being blocked. I have my own server (not on the WP cloud) so I can install anything. I would really like to be able to see all views and page visits. Cloudflare shows 100 views but jetpack shows 20. Now I know why. Cloudflare will gather the stat before anything is blocked but only has a general visitor count but I think the actual page views are way more helpful. I also would rather not install Google Analytics if possible, as I think giving less info to Google the better, plus less overhead. But I did read that the GAnalytics might give better stats when involved with an Adblocker – though I’m not sure as I have not tried this.

Much appreciate any info in advance!
    Thanks again!

  • Hello,

When it comes to AdBlocker, it’s not somewhat we can control. When users decide to block a specific site/URL, I am not sure if there is any way to overcome that.

That said, we will keep this topic open for a while so that someone else from the community can give you some tips.
