Status / Keywords resetting (Not saving)

I just tested this and I’m not able to duplicate it. I also tested with tags with the same result.

– are you using the latest version of CRM (5.2.0)?
– are you saving each change before refreshing the screen?

if neither of the above helps, what happens if you attempt to update status or tags in a different browser? I’m wondering if you might have some sort of browser extension causing some caching issues. Does your site have any caching plugins, etc, enabled? If so, I’d try flushing them and testing again.

I have the newest wordpress, woocommerce and jetpack/jetpack crm version. I synced the contacts with WooSync.

When i bulk-edit all customers and change their status, its seems like all the woocommerce contacts are resetting back to “Lead”. Contacts i added manually are working fine.

Ok i just tested it.
The problem is definitely with WooSync!

I disabled the connection to my Woocommerce store.
I deleted all the tags/keywords and changed customer status to “Customer”.

Everything worked! Everything was saved!

Then i activated the WooSync connection again!
After that ALL the tags/keywords were restored and ALL WooCommerce Users were back to status “Lead”.

What can i do, to fix this?

Interesting! That said, I still can’t duplicate this problem with Contacts who come into CRM via WooSync as WooCommerce customers.

We’ll need more information to effectively duplicate this. We have to be able to duplicate it in order to confirm/report it as a bug. If we cannot, it generally tends to indicate some issue on your end.

Would you send us the following information:

– what happens if you attempt to update status or tags in a different browser? I’m wondering if you might have some sort of browser extension causing some caching issues. Does your site have any caching plugins, etc, enabled? If so, I’d try flushing them and testing again.

– `Could you try the following steps so we can find out more about the problem?

1. Open the Contact edit page.
2. Open your browser console by following this guide: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis
3. Click on the Network tab
4. Refresh the page.
5. Try to change the status (or remove a tag) and Save.
6. If you see any lines in red inside the browser console, click on them. A new panel should appear on the right.
7. Click on the “Response” tab in that new panel.
8. Copy the message displayed there.
9. Paste it in a reply to this email.
10. If no red lines appeared in the browser console, click on the “Console” tab of the browser console.
11. Copy any errors displayed there, and send them back to me.

I already tried it in a different browser. Same problem.

There are no red lines in the network tab when updating a status or deleting a tag.

Thank you for providing more information and continuing to test.

You previously mentioned:

Are you changing customers’ status within Jetpack CRM Contacts view (https://URL/wp-admin/admin.php?page=manage-customers), or within WooCommerce Customers view (https://URL/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin&path=%2Fcustomers)?

Since Woo Sync syncs data one way only (from WooCommerce to Jetpack CRM), if you’re updating contacts records in Jetpack CRM, those will be automatically overridden to match customer records in WooCommerce.

I change customer status with Jetpack CRM. And everytime it syncs, my changes get overwritten.

There is no customer’s status in WooCommerce Customers view. When i edit a customer in WooCommerce i get redirected to WordPress User Settings Page. The customer’s status seems to be unique to Jetpack CRM. So it getting overwritten makes no sense to me. Maybe you wanna change that in your code.

I now changed it make “Customer” default status in Jetpack CRM, so all WooCommerce customers getting synced are automatic set as “Customer”. But its only a workaround.
