    Hi Greg,

To place an ad there are 3 steps: Preview, Modify / Add and Place order.
After each step the status of the ad changes when I look in the admin.

After the third step an icon appears after the ad description to activate the ad.

Suppose an user stops after the second step, how can I (from the admin) change the status so I can activate the ad (as if the third step has been done). After the second step there is only a non-clickable icon at the end of the ad description.

    Thanks
    Sylvia

also: suppose that I have placed an ad as an user and I have stopped after the second step. When I login and click on Manage ads there is an icon with comment: Waiting for payment. How can I go further with that ad to complete the third step ie make the payment?

If you can find this Ad in wp-admin / Classifieds list (it should be in Pending section) then you can edit and publish it like any other Post.

The expiration date for the Ad you would need to set manually, as in the preview it is not set yet.

    Hi Greg,

It already has the status of Published but the payment status says: Waiting for payment.

So apparently when you don’t click the button in the third step, no payment record is created. Because when I view: wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=advert&page=adext-payment-history I don’t see any matching record, whereas when I click on the button in the third step a payment record gets created.

    Thanks

You are correct, the Payment record is created in the third step, so when user abandons the page after preview there will be no payment record for the Advert.

Can you let me know if you are using the Payments Module or WooCommerce integration to accept the payments? and maybe paste a screenshot which will show the page with “Waiting for payment” text? By default, this text is only used in [adverts_manage] not in wp-admin.

    Hi Greg,

We are using the Payment Module with a link to an external payment provider.

The link to the screenshot after the second step is: https://pki.nl/result%20after%20step%202.jpg

The link to the screenshot after the third step is:

    Thanks

    Hi,
so you are actually going to the third step and the third step is completed at least according to your screenshots?

In this case to complete the payment just go to wp-admin / Classifieds / Payments History panel and change the payment status from Pending to Completed and the Advert will be published automatically.

    Hi Greg,

The problem is that users stop after the second step, which means that no payment record is created.

So what can we do if a user stops after the second step and had paid by bank and we would like to create a payment record and activate it?

    Thanks

    1. You cannot create payment records manually, the payment records are only created automatically in the third step.

    2. If the user quit in the Preview step then the Ad status is “Temporary”, you need to manually set the Expiration date for this Ad and publish it from wp-admin / Classifieds panel.

    2. Yes but how can we process a payment for that Ad?

    (@gwin)

You cannot as the payment record was never created so there is nothing to process.
