    Have tried to follow other posts but still not working
    Hosted on GoDaddy – Windows via Plesk
    Deleted plugin from WP via admin. Removed from GoDaddy via file manager
    Re-installed with same error. This time realized that there are two EWW files. One under WP-Content with 5 .exe files in it:
    cwebp.exe
    gifsicle.exe
    jpegtran.exe
    optipng.exe
    ongquant.exe

    I moved the 3 missing in the plugins/ewww-image-optimizer folder there, deactivated and reactivated the plugin…same error. So I deleted the wp-content/ewww folder and de/re activated again. Same result.

    Decided I better talk to the expert since I’m not sure what the wp-content/ewww folder is for. I thought maybe .exe files had to go in there vs under plugins, but the folder there had .exe files in it. I’m in waaay over my depth now.

    Note this line that appears several times:

    This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.

    That means you need to contact whoever sets the group policy on that server. I’m guessing that is GoDaddy, but I’m not familiar with their Windows servers at all. If they won’t allow those to be executed, you could use the EWWW IO Cloud option (although it has a minimal cost attached to it).
