Statusbar when autoupdating WP?

  • A quick thought I just got when talking to a friend.

    Both of us have problem with the automatic update of wordpress. It chokes on either “unpacking the package” or “downloading package from”.

    Wouldn′t adding some kind of statusbar on how the update is going be neat? So it isn′t just a line of text telling us what is happening.

    Having a statusbar being filled up when downloading, unpacking and installing the new update automatically would be really nice.

    And with the feature request added I would also like to ask why the automatic update chokes?
