STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEVELOPER AND PLUGIN

  • EDIT: so the code itself is not in the plugin directly, but hosted on the developers website that the widget passes through. Thank you wordpress team for clarifying that. Be that as it may, until the developer either discloses this to the public that he or she is doing it, and/or removes the crypto miner all together, I still would not recommend this plugin to anyone at this time. Thank you.

    So long story short, this developer is stealing your CPU power to run a cryptocurrency miner on your website against you and ALL of your visitors! DO NOT DOWNLOAD this plugin. It can cause crashing and severe speed decreases on your website due to it stealing your end users CPU which can cause them not to come back. This underhanded and shady AF, and this plugin needs to be removed! I am reporting this developer and this plugin as well to the main wordpress group to see what they want to do with him/her. This is why plugins and developers get a bad name, because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU embedding nefarious code to abuse your users. You may think its harmless, but you didn’t disclose it to anyone, your making money off every visitor that comes to these people’s websites, and you are literally slowing down everyone’s computer because or your GD greed! Despicable and you should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!

    NOTE: I’m not defending or even taking sides here. But links in reviews have been abused before. Yes, it’s the spammers that ruin it for all of us and no, I am not accusing you of spamming.

    Its ok, I totally understand and no hard feelings. I have already talked with some people via email at wordpress in regards to this and they have contacted the developer. Thank you for the reply letting me know though. First review here and I am still learning the ropes on what is and is not allowed, so thank you ??
