Stay clear of SKT Themes (the company)

Please don’t post links in reviews. It would be much better if you could say what the issue was so that the author can attempt to improve the themes.

What was the issue?

Hi again Andrew,

We decided to purchase the SKT Black Pro Website Theme from a guy who calls himself “Shri”, after his e-mail assurance “of course we do provide good support.”

Within only 2 days, we were sorely disappointed with our choice. The support ranged from atrocious to non-existent. The following two claims were made on the SKT Themes website:

*PSD Design Files
Includes PSD format file so that in case you need any design changes first in order to modify the theme you can do so.

(The theme did NOT, in fact, include any PSD files. Our graphics artists had to try and figure the technical details out by themselves.)

*Support
You will get login for our support forum and our email id and skype ID after purchase of a theme.

(After we complained about the PSD files and the atrocious support, we were simply locked out of the support forum).

It gets worse.

The SKT Black Pro theme has been stuck at version 1.0 for months. No updates are being done, no change logs. The SKT developer seem to be running around killing fires all over the show. Yes – we suspect it’s a one-man show, to add insult to injury.

There are a whole host of problems within the SKT Themes stable.

Stay away – rather spend $10 more on a more robust, well documented, stable theme that is well supported by a team of developers.

SKT Black has been updated but updates of Pro don’t happen by upgrading versions.

Also PSD is given to all customers on demand as clubbing PSD with theme zip file means the size gets increased and people complain of broken theme.

Lastly client wanted SKT Bakery Pro theme for free along with the SKT Black Pro after purchase. We said we do not provide such offer due to which he started sending threat emails and posting multiple times on our support forum and finally calling our parent company phone number over 50 times in a single day (have email and phone records).

I hope no one ever gets such a customer ever.
