I noticed that when I’m seeing a website in one language (let’s say, Spanish) and I click on a link to a page that is in English, it opens that page in English and it doesn’t automatically switch to the Spanish version of that same page.

Is there any way to make sure the user stays in the same version of the website and doesn’t switch language if the page he visited is already translated?

  • Hi!
I think i’m having the same problem, if I understand your question correctly. I did manage to add 3 languages to my wp site (en, fr, pt), but the mainpage stays in only one language no matter what I do. this is my website: themobiletranslations.com
I’m starting to think that maybe what I want can only be done with the (paid) pro version of polylang, can that be true?
so, recap: all my posts and pages are translated and the switch button works fine (it really is a great plugin), but the front page, the one that appears when you enter the website, shows only one language and I can’t figure out how to add the other (fr + pt). can anyone give a hand with this?
    thank you
