Stay Logged In between Main Site and WP

  • howdy,

    I FINALLY got my external authentication (using the external authentication reloaded plugin) sorted out and now am able to login in to my WP subfolder install based on the username/password used for my main site, which is great.

    But, the problem is, when I log into my main site and then go to the wp subfolder I am no longer recognized as a logged in user and same goes in reverse… if I login in via the wp login form I am not recognized as a logged in user on the main site.

    I have attempted to use the root cookie plugin, but that had no effect.

    Any other ideas how to make sure that any logged in/logged out activity on the main site or WP subfolder install is recognized/carried over to the other?

    I have not added any WP code to my main website, only installed it in a subfolder and setup the external auth plugin, if that is relevant.
