'Stay' Theme – add Instagram Social Icon

As your theme is only available via wordpress.com, you will need to wait for one of their support people to deal with your questions. To that end, I’ve have tagged this topic for their attention and, hopefully, someone will be along shortly.

That is odd.

The code looks OK in the browser source:

It also looks fine in the CSS:

.instagram-link a:before {
	content: '\f215';
}

The Genericon Instagram code is still f215:

I’m not sure why it’s not displaying correctly.

Could you try removing it and adding it back, and let me know if it changes?

Ah, I just re-read your first post, where you say that you added the code yourself! It doesn’t look like Stay supports Instagram in the Social Links menu, only these ones:

The easiest solution here is probably to use a plugin to create as many social links as you like, instead of the built-in menu. Here’s one I found, but haven’t tried myself:

I actually added the code within the ‘customization.php’ file as well, then added the Instagram link under the customize tab within my dashboard.

I will see if I can add a plugin instead.

If you find anything else, let me know! Strange that this theme only offers 4-5 Social Media Links. Instagram is a BIG ONE now.
