Step-By-Step Configuration

    I have used your plugin for a clients website and am loving it so far – however, on our last meeting the client requested that each step of configuration is “forced” so that once a choice is made, the next layer choices are automatically presented to the website user. For example, Product Choice #1 (Product Colour) appears as the main focus of the left hand menu, and once a choice is made it opens Choice #2 (Product Material) and then on to choice #3 etc.

    Is there a way to do this with your plugin? The end result would be to have a “guided” configuration of the product.

    Hi there,

    Is the request that “Choice #2 (Product Material)” and the following aren’t visible at all, or that they automatically open when Choice #1 is selected?

    thanks for your fast response.

    Either of those outcomes would be good, with a preference that Choice #2 is not visible until choice #1 has been made, and CHoice #3 is not visible until choice #2 is made, etc. and that the ‘add to cart’ is not visible until all choices have been made in order.

    The client was very specific in that they want each choice to be made obvious to the site user, so that its more of a “step 1, pick this. step 2, pick that.” rather than a side menu of choices that they can flick between randomly. They are concerned that each step of our product customisations need explaining as there are a lot of technical differences in our product ranges.

    For context, this is for medical monitoring devices with over 16 different features, so we need to be really precise and ensure there’s as little room for human error as possible.

    I see.
    The conditional logic add-on could be used for this, hiding the layers by default, and only showing the next one once a selection is made.
    Though it won’t hiding the add to cart button.
