Sticky posts are always returned in a search!

  • Hi,

    I have checked 2.9 this seems to be a bug in all version since stickies?

    When you search for a specific post you get a list of matching articles but it shows you the sticky articles if they match the search or not!

    Is there anyway I can filter these out? I was thinking I could do it in the search template perhaps but then if the search criteria matches a sticky I won’t know.

    Okay… not a great solution but I added a check if it is sticky in the search results page. if it is sticky it doesn’t show it…. this will hide invalid hits but unfortunately hides valid ones as well!
