Sticky Posts not showing up

Hi I’m having two problems with my presentation sliders:

1. Not all the posts that I’ve selected (as sticky posts) are showing up as sliders on our page

2. I reduced the size of the text being show in the slider because a lot of it was being cut-off, but this resulted in only some of the text being highlighted in grey. I think this might be a simple CSS fix, but I’m not sure how to refer to the text highlighting in CSS.
