Still a broken image when inserted into a post

When i go to insert a pic from my computer into a post using the little insert pic tab it uploads and i click the “insert pic to post” button it shows as a blank box. It has a little pic at the top left of the picture’s blank space of a tiny page ripped in half. Then when i go to view it in my blog it shows the space where the pic would be but no picture, just the name of the picture.

(and if i have to re download it how can i save all the posts, pages, and other documentation on there.)
