STILL AN ISSUE: User Groups lost when users update own profile

The changelog says that this was fixed on April 11, 2016. I am still having this problem. I am using v1.3.1 with WordPress 4.6. Any time any of my users update their nickname or any part of their profile, their user group assignments are stripped away.
