Still Can’t Get Splitting Quite Right

    I love your plugin so far, but I’m still having trouble with selecting the correct splitting options. We sell organic dog treats that we manufacture and distribute ourselves. Then there are other items like branded t-shirts, etc. that are fulfilled by others. So, what we’re trying to do with order splitter is to segregate all our dog treats into one order, and then create separate orders for each of the other non-treat orders in the cart. But … what keeps happening is everything in the order is getting separated into different orders. So … we must have some setting wrong.

    Right now we’ve set our dog treats to “shredder” and all other items to “exclusive” like indicated here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGuvAPBm

    What are we doing wrong?

    Dear Bruce,

    Wrong thing is, multiple methods. Although you can choose multiple split methods for multiple products but that is for just selection. Actual split method will rule, which is selected from top slabs. If exclusive is selected, only exclusive items will be considered and others are irrelevant. If shredder is selected so shredder items will be considered an others become irrelevant.

    For your case, I would suggest you to try the following:

    1) Choose shredder from the methods slab
    2) Keep your Dog treats in shredder radio button selection, it will group all Dog treats into one order which will be managed by you.
    3) Ignore all other items, those will be separated in their respective order.

    First off, thank you for your patience with me and your quick responses. I really appreciate it!

    I finally got it working. What I kept missing is that you choose the method of how you want to split items is by selecting / highlighting the method at the TOP of the page vs. just via the radio buttons by the products.

    Perhaps adding a graphic like this might help people realize they need to choose the splitting method up top? https://share.getcloudapp.com/X6udWYLZ
