• I just set up hosting with iPage and went through their WordPress installation progress. I changed my nameservers on GoDaddy to “ns1.ipage.com” and “ns2.ipage.com”. At first it wasn’t working, it still directed me towards my old Tumblr site, but was saying “Not Found”. I changed my CNAME (www.) area to my domain name and then cleared my browsers cache and it started working fine. I could log in through domainname.com/wp-admin and could view my dashboard. When I’d click at the top to go view my page, I could see it in the default theme with the “Welcome to WordPress…blah blah” post. A few hours I try again and now it’s directing me back to the Tumblr page that says “Not Found”. I really don’t know what else to try doing. I reset my cache again and still nothing. Any suggestions are welcomed.

  • That is odd that it would go back to previous settings and definitely sounds like a caching issue. If your nameservers are pointing to ipage, then your DNS settings would be there at the host. You could contact them to have them double check those settings. Support, at the Go Daddy side, can check your nameservers and make sure there’s nothing odd going on here if you like: https://x.co/heretohelp
