Here is message I receive after I log in after install and click “visit site:
PHP Warning: require(./wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Html\Users\userweb61863\Html\index.php on line 17 PHP Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘./wp-blog-header.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php5\pear’) in D:\Html\Users\userweb61863\Html\index.php on line 17

I use AISO webhost; they installed both times; haven’t heard back from them on a fix. Should I install older version and upgrade to 2.9.1 once it’s installed?

    Thanks for any help!

Looks like a bad install. You can either get them to fix it or manually upload all files and folders from a fresh download of WordPress yourself.

thanks, it finally works! They fixed it.
however, when i want to install a new theme it asks for info; know user name and password, but do i just use aiso.net as host or do i need a particular path name?
    thanks!

You need your FTP connection details. Contact your host again if you have to but check back through any initial account emails that they sent to you. The details you need may be there.

Could be a folder ownership issue>

You may need to contact your hosts and ask them to reset the folder owner/group.

If I manually upload will the site recognize it as part of my themes? or do I have to write a path to the site from the server (can ya tell I’m a newbie?) I have another wordpress blog but it is thru bluehost and everything is pretty much done for ya with a click…

A manual upload should be fine.
